Who is Nanabozho?

.°• ★. ° .
Nanabozho (Also called Wenabozho, Nanabush, and Manabozho) is a prolific figure in anishinaabe culture, he is the child of a human woman and the spirit of the west wind (or in other variations, of the sun).
He has the innate ability to shapeshift, his most common forms being a Hare, Coyote, and Raven, he even has the ability to change genders. Many stories of Nanabozho have been passed down for centuries, tales of his trickery and cunning inspire many, and his moments of foolishness and selfishness teach us to be humble and kind.He is a teacher, a trickster, and most importantly, a friend.

"It wasn't too long ago that I decided to create this lil project, after reconnecting with my culture a few years ago, struggling with self identity-- I had remembered an old cultural figure I heard in traditional stories I was told as a kid.
I found many old stories, relearned a good few, and discovered some new ones, I grew quickly attached to nanabozho.
It felt like I found myself, I found a guide, someone to look to when things got bad.
Nanabozho has helped me in many ways, and his stories continue to inspire and entertain me, they bring me joy!
And I want to share that joy with everyone, I don't want my hero to go unnoticed!
So, I started this project with a dear friend of mine, who happens to be very passionate about learning about other cultures, and is knowledgeable about translation. With their help and support (as well as yours, dear reader) we have been able to make this project happen!"
